The Lancashire Cricket Foundation has entered its 2nd Year of working and engaging with its South Asian Communities in Manchester.

To celebrate the Cricket World Cup 2019 India Versus Pakistan Fixture at Emirates Old Trafford on the 16h June 2019, the Programme Advisory Group of the South Asian Core Cities is staging this Community Fixture which will also recognise the achievements of the programme so far. Manchester Active and the Manchester City Council are key partners in arranging this event.
The Community T20 Fixture is open to all and encourages families, especially women and children to attend and enjoy the fun activities. Eminent Dignitaries in attendance for this include the Mayor of Manchester, The Indian and Pakistan Consul General and LCF/ECB representatives.
There will also be a Food Festival with multiple stalls dishing out Asian and Continental fare, Bouncy castles and Music with Bollywood dancers and singers to add colour and spice to the evening for all spectators.
With the massive excitement around the Cricket World Cup especially the India v Pakistan match held in Manchester which is completely sold out, it is without a shadow of a doubt one of the biggest match in this World Cup. The rivalry of these two cricket neighbouring nations has lots of history and well known in the cricket world.

The evening starts at 4.00pm with All Stars Cricket followed by pre-match functions involving Dignitaries/Guests before the National Anthems & Toss at 5.45pm. The match starts at 6.00pm sharp.
This is a free event and we are expecting approximately 1000 plus spectators at the event.

P.S. The players involved in this fixture are mostly professional Indian and Pakistani players involved in league cricket all around Manchester.
