As you’re no doubt aware I’ve been walking to all Glossop CC’s away fixtures this season raising money for The Christie and am closing in on my £5k target now.

Support from all the clubs in Div1A has been superb and our 2s have had plenty of positive comments at their games too.
Our last fixture is away at Uppermill on 14th September and I’m hoping, results depending, that most of the 1s will join me for at least part of it. A number of others are hoping to walk most of that one too and the Denton West Stalwarts may also be there.
I’d like to invite anyone from any other club in our division or across the GMCL to join me too for all or part of the last walk.
I’m hoping our local MP will be at Uppermill to flag me home as she set me off on Easter Saturday and local radio also expressed interest.
I’d be honoured to see any of you on the journey or at the finish at Uppermill.
