2018 sees the 150th Anniversary of Thornham Cricket Club. The club was established in 1868 by a group of local people – ‘mostly dyers, bleachers and finishers’ and has occupied the same ground since that time; the only club in this area to do so. They are very proud of this heritage and their place in the community.
As this is such a momentous occasion, they will be holding a weekend of celebrations commencing with an Anniversary Dinner at Rochdale Town Hall on Friday 29th June, 2018. The MC for the evening will be Mr Peter Young and the Speaker, Dr Kevin Jones. Tickets will cost £40 per person with tables of 10 available at £360.

Thornham are also producing a commemorative book written by Kevin McMahon building on to the history authored by Tony Crook for the Centenary.
