Congratulations go to our senior inter league team for their excellent wins over the Bolton League and in the final the Ribblesdale League to retain the senior inter league trophy.

An early start at Egerton CC saw the Bolton League score 157-8 in their 20 overs with Jon Kerrigan scoring an excellent 52 off 35 balls with Ben Chapman taking 3 for 32. In reply Ryan Stanbury and Chris Gill scored 126 off 7.3 overs before Ryan was out for 64 off 22 balls with Chris top scoring with 72 off 40 balls the foundation for the victory was set and the winning runs were scored with over six overs to spare taking the GMCL into the final to be played later in the day.
In the second match the Ribblesdale League took a deserved victory against the Liverpool Competition resulting in the final being between the GMCL and the Ribblesdale League.
Sam Holden won the toss and chose to bat, the GMCL opened with Stanbury and Gill, the third ball saw Gill caught by the wicket keeper off Walker. Stanbury steadied the innings taking the score to 50 off 5.1 overs before falling to McLaughlin. A mini collapse took place taking the GMCL from 50-1 to 54-4 before captain Sam Holden steadied the innings with 53 runs scored off 38 balls and the GMCL innings finished on 154-8.
The Ribblesdale League started very well and after 6 overs had scored 50 without loss. The slow bowling pair of Will Halton and Brad Wooley then came on and in the space of 6 overs and only 15 runs scored 6 wickets fell and the GMCL were in control and went on to win by 32 runs.
