12 March 2026 - Rules reviews are constantly taking place and anyone can make a suggestion - HERE, where you can also see past suggestions and responses.

Significant Amended & Updated Rules & Procedures Winter 25/26 (some suggestions are still being reviewed)

1. Scorers - A Whats App group has been formed for scorers - please contact your Club's Liaison Officer for details 
2. Scorer not present - If your club do not have a scorer in attendance at a game you must pay the scorer present £60 for a Saturday game or Cup game, £50 for a Sunday game
3. Player Registration - Category 3 Amateur players can now be registered up to 30th June.
4. Player Registration - Category 1 Amateur players can now be registered up to 31st August for the Sunday Competition.
5. Starred Players - Clubs with a 1st XI in Division 5 or 6 now only need to complete List A
6. Sunday League Eligibility - The additional restrictions for the last 3 games have been removed, Starred Player restrictions still apply 
7. Sunday League Exemption Requests - Increased to 4 for one off games and 2 season long exemptions
8. Sunday League Rearrangements - Clubs cannot play two Sunday League games on one day as 20 over matches
9. Sunday League Overs Restriction - Bowlers can now only bowl a maximum of 20% of the overs
10. Bonus Points - (all comps) Batting Second & winning - Bonus Point now for losing 4 wickets or less (increased from 3)
11. Grace Period - This is removed for 2026 because Bonus Points are now available in all league games, including weather affected games.
12. Wides - Blue lines will be introduced in the top divisions for wides in 2026 - details to follow
13. Leg Side Wides - Leg Side Wides will be introduced in all Saturday Divisions in 2026
14. Rain Panel - The fee for a rain panel umpire is now £20
