Greater Manchester Cricket League
GMCL and Compliance.
The GMCL along with other cricket leagues and all cricket clubs across the country are able to continue to play the game in its adaptive format thanks to everyone’s efforts including the ECB and the County Boards.
This position over recent days has been tested and challenged and we are thankful that cricket can continue in its current format but what it does show is that if we deviate from the rules and guidance there is no doubt cricket will move back to stage 3, which means no games.
We remain in a very severe situation and we all must continue to maintain our social distancing and ensure all those involved in the game or visiting your club comply with the guidance and advice which is designed to keep your members, players, umpires, spectators and everyone of us safe.
The GMCL Board will not hesitate to act if it finds that clubs are frequently non-compliant, not because we want to but out of responsibilities to all of our league officials, member clubs and their members, volunteers, players and spectators.
Thank you for your support to date
Enjoy the game in a safe manner.
