U11s Cup final.
A damp day where ball dominated bat with boundaries few and far between
The first semi saw DSL take a cluster of Greenmount wickets to come out on top. The second semi greenfield v Friarmere was much tighter. GCC only lost 2 wickets but friarmere restricted them to 237. In reply F scored more freely but lost more wickets. 12 needed off the 2 balls. Penultimate ball launched on to the park for 6 but GCC held their nerve for a dot ball to win
The final in increasing drizzle was a less tense affair with G in command. Only a clutch of wickets kept the total down to 266. DSL replied cautiously keeping wickets intact but a double wicket over mid innings left their last pair too much to do and Greenfield ran out deserving winners of the GMCL cup to add to their Lancs Cup triumph the previous week
