GMCL RULES PENALTIES

 

8.4. GMCL Fines & Penalties

The fines for forfeiting league, cup and GMCL20 games are as follows and are in addition to the above penalties and in the case of cup and GMCL20 matches, suspension from such cup or GMCL20 for a limited period.

 

----- Reasoning 

  • Without any reasonable excuse, forfeiture on match day (in any competition) shows a lack of organisation and preparation at the club and a lack of respect for opponents and the competition. 
  • In addition to the fines and points penalties, if required by the Board, the 2 most senior club officials and captain will be asked to attend a hearing with representatives of the Board to explain the club's behaviour and provide a list of and reasons for all players unavailable and state what measures have been put in place to avoid this happening in the future.
  • In addition to the fines listed below, if any team forfeits 3 or more league matches in a season, then the recommendation from the Board is that the team is demoted at the end of the season and senior club’ officials must make representations to the Board to avoid this.

8.4.1. Fines for forfeiting GMCL League Games

8.4.1.1. Home Team forfeits a match for any reason in the days before the match

8.4.1.1.1. Home Match forfeited on Match Day

8.4.1.1.1.1. the fine is £100

8.4.1.1.2. Home Match forfeited on the Day before the match (Friday for a Saturday league game, Saturday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.1.2.1. the fine is £75

8.4.1.1.3. Home Match forfeited 2 days before the match (Thursday for a Saturday league game, Friday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.1.3.1. the fine is £50

8.4.1.1.4. Home Match forfeited 3 days before the match (Wednesday for a Saturday league game, Thursday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.1.4.1. the fine is £25

8.4.1.1.5. Home Match forfeited 4 days before the match (Tuesday or earlier for a Saturday league game, Wednesday or earlier for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.1.4.1. There is no fine

8.4.1.2. Away Team forfeits a match for any reason in the days before the match

8.4.1.2.1. Away Match forfeited on Match Day

8.4.1.2.1.1. the fine is £200, the league financial officer will send £100 of this to the home club

8.4.1.2.2. Away Match forfeited on the Day before the match (Friday for a Saturday league game, Saturday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.2.2.1. the fine is £175, the league financial officer will send £100 of this to the home club

8.4.1.2.3. Away Match forfeited 2 days before the match (Thursday for a Saturday league game, Friday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.2.3.1. the fine is £150, the league financial officer will send £100 of this to the home club

8.4.1.2.4. Away Match forfeited 3 days before the match (Wednesday for a Saturday league game, Thursday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.2.4.1. the fine is £125, the league financial officer will send £100 of this to the home club

8.4.1.2.5. Away Match forfeited 4 days before the match (Tuesday or earlier for a Saturday league game, Wednesday or earlier for a Sunday league game)

8.4.1.2.4.1. the fine is £100, the league financial officer will send the £100 to the home club

 

8.4.2. Fines for forfeiting GMCL cup games

8.4.2.1. Home Team forfeits a match for any reason in the days before the match

8.4.2.1.1. Home Match forfeited on Match Day

8.4.2.1.1.1. the fine is £100

8.4.2.1.2. Home Match forfeited on the Day before the match (Friday for a Saturday league game, Saturday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.2.1.2.1. the fine is £75

8.4.2.1.3. Home Match forfeited 2 days before the match (Thursday for a Saturday league game, Friday for a Sunday league game)

8.4.2.1.3.1. the fine is £50
